(Side story: One time I walked into Michael Kors and asked to try on the beautiful rose-colored one in the hopes that it would fit my teeny wrist...I literally walked out all sad.)

DIY Belted Buckle Bracelet
(Difficulty: Easy)
Supplies
(1) Slider charm buckle band (I got mine for about $5 at a swap meet...the sellers found it odd I wanted the band and no charms)
(2) Jump rings
(3) Scrap chain + Charm (optional) or necklace extender
(4) Jewelry pliers(3) Scrap chain + Charm (optional) or necklace extender

Steps
1. Attach a jump ring to the end of your scrap chain or necklace extender. Add charm if desired to the other end. My extender came with a tiny ball; I kept as is because I wanted the focus to be on the bracelet itself.
2. Attach the same jump ring in step 1 to the buckle.
3. About 2/3 of the way down, attach another jump ring to your chain.
4. If you got the exact same bracelet as I have, you're going to now attach the jump ring from step 3 to the second (right) band.
5. Buckle up and wear!
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! I hope this was a helpful alternative for those of you who were looking for an inexpensive, adjustable belted buckle bangle (say that three times fast!).
I have a 6" wrist and know exactly what you're talking about!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know I'm not the only one, Nancy! :) #tinywristproblems
