DIY | Kate Spade Inspired Studs

With very similar steps as my Simple Pyramid Studs DIY, here's my take on the Kate Spade Locked In Stud Earrings! I opted to make the gold accents a little more bold than Kate Spade did though.

Steps

1. Place a generous dollop of glue on your earring post and attach it to the back of your pyramid stud, let dry.

2. Use your flatnose pliers to bend down the prongs so that they won't scratch your ear when you wear them.

3. Cut out two strips of tape, about as thin as shown, and tape it cross-wise on your pyramid stud. Make sure that the tape is stuck to the stud as best as you can manage so the nail polish won't leak underneath.

4. Paint with nail polish. Let dry.

5. Remove the tape and touch up the edges with a q-tip and nail polish remover. Paint with clear topcoat or acrylic spray if needed.

If you're like me and completely botched up your first pair, never fear! Just wipe the whole thing down with nail polish remover and start over again. I think I'm going to make a pair in every nail polish color I have; enjoy! :)

** Don't wanna DIY? Faster to buy? I'll be selling any extra pairs I made, along with many other items, in my shop Two Teaspoons coming soon. Stay tuned!

  6. Yeah, jewelry is important for every woman to look beautiful, and a woman can’t go in parties without jewelry. I think gemstone Kate Spade earrings are best to wear in parties due to their fabulous designs and these earring suits with all the outfits.
