DIY | Advent Calendar Day 4: Star Bow Envelope

For Day 4, I found this lovely elongated geometric diamond necklace at Forever 21 on sale for 99c (but which had a further 50% off reduction, so 49c)! I packaged it in a mini envelope adorned with a four-pointed star bow (for day number four!) out of old book pages :)

DIY Star Bow Envelope

(Difficulty: Easy)

Supplies

(1) Download the template here
(2) Kraft paper
(3) Old book pages
(4) Double tape
(5) Scissors

Steps

1. Print out the template right onto Kraft paper or trace it. Cut along the solid lines and score along the dotted lines (folding lines). The gray areas will be where your double tape should stick.

2. Assemble the envelope with double tape.

3. Cut out three strips from your book page: two 6" strips and one 4" strip.

4. With each of the two longer strips, make a loop with one end by bringing it clockwise to the front and center and securing with double tape. Loop the other end counterclockwise and secure to front and center.

5. With the shorter strip, make a closed circle. To assemble, attach the center of one pointed star piece to the other with double tape, then attach the circle piece.

6. Stick the bow to the envelope and write a special message if you wish. Fill and seal with a strip of double tape.

Voila! Sweet and simple~ The mini envelope's also the perfect size for holding gift cards as well :)
